Tertin Kartano is a farm in active operation, a gourmet’s paradise, and a cosy Manor Hotel in the middle of the beautiful nature of South Savo.
It was on 22.8.1894, on Iivari’s name day, that it began, namely the era of the Pylkkänen family in charge of Tertin Kartano Manor. Aatami bought the manor from the widow Tolvanen in Juva. This was followed by fierce restoration work and the buildings in the courtyard were repaired, as were the labourers’ facilities and other farm buildings.
Friends, let us celebrate... The charm of past decades merges with the mod cons of today in the lovely Tertin Kartano Manor in Mikkeli. The traditions of manor life have been nurtured by the Pylkkänen family since 1894. The authentic milieu, the unhurried atmosphere of the turn of the 20th century, and our Finnish cuisine of high standard have charmed numerous guests, among them Oskar Merikanto, 1868-1924, pioneering composer of Finnish lieder and Finnish opera, and Urho Kekkonen, 1900-1986, Finland’s longest-serving president 1956-1981.
When it’s time to celebrate, to eat well, and to enjoy accommodation in a unique environment, welcome to Tertin Kartano Manor. Everyone is a valued customer at Tertin Kartano Manor.
